# Ban appeals

> How to ask for a review of a ban or punishment.

> Think a punishment was a mistake? You can ask for a review.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the form">Use the [contact form](https://forms.novamstudios.com/r/contact) and choose the appeal topic. You can do this even if you are banned.</Step>
  <Step title="Explain">Give your username, the punishment, and why you think it should be reviewed.</Step>
  <Step title="Wait">A Moderator reviews it. Repeated or rude appeals are ignored.</Step>

  <Step title="Decision">
    Our Legal Department makes the final decision. They can revoke your punishment / ban. If your ban / punishment has been revoked, HR will contact the moderation team to disable the punishment that has been made earlier.

<Warning>Some bans cannot be appealed, for example scamming other members.</Warning>
