# Safety and scams

> Stay safe: scams, impersonation and account security.

## Golden rules

* **Staff will never ask for your password, 2FA code or Roblox cookie.**
* Only trust links from official sources: [novamstudios.com](https://novamstudios.com), [docs.novamstudios.com](https://docs.novamstudios.com) and our official Discord.
* Be careful with strangers offering "cheap" items or free Robux.
* Never share personal information (address, school, real name) with strangers.
* Enable 2-step verification on Roblox and Discord.

## Recognize a scam

* "Free Robux" or "free Limiteds"
* Urgent messages ("your account will be banned")
* DMs from fake staff accounts
* Links that look almost like an official one

## What to do

1. Do not click or reply.
2. Take a screenshot.
3. [Report it](/support/report-player).

<Info>If you are under 13 or in a difficult situation, talk to a parent or trusted adult and use Roblox's own safety tools.</Info>
